Created by Thomas Harris, Hannibal Lecter, the serial murderer was the main character in his book "The Silence of the Lambs" which was later developed into a full feature film in 1991. A psychoanalyst having a test for human flesh, the portrait of Dr. Lecter as sketched by Harris has been vivid and terrifying. Small and compactly built, Lecter is a mature man in his middle ages with small and white teeth and exceptional smelling powers.
